ACBF supports the creation of high integrity Australian Carbon Credits Units (ACCUs) derived from sequestration and emissions avoidance projects associated with changes involving vegetation and land management.

By high integrity, we mean that the ACCUs generated represent genuine additionality, that the baselines
and monitoring that underpin these credits are based on expert advice and are presented transparently.
We note that a range of concerns have been raised about the ACCUs generated through the operation
of the Emissions Reduction Program and urge that these concerns be addressed as a matter of urgency
as part of this review process.
